Kick Flip
What is a kickflip?
A kickflip is a trick where the board is manipulated by the feet during a jump so that it spins sideways 360 degrees before landing.
Learning a Kickflip can be done by doing 5 simple steps
Stance, Pop, Flick, Catch, Land and Roll
Stance : For the setup of a kick flip, place you back foot in the middle of the board, right at the middle of the tail, like you would for an Ollie If you are Regular stance, if you are goofy it would be the opposite foot. Place your front foot just under the front truck bolts, with the heel of your front foot hanging off. It will be your toes that will flip the board 360 degrees.
Pop : With your back foot, press down on the tail to snap your Ollie. But instead of dragging foot up the board like you would with an ollie, use your toes to flip out towards the top corner of your board. Jump up as you pop your board, to give it room to spin the full 360
Flick : At the top of your Ollie, flick your front foot towards the top corner of your board. This will make the board do a flip to the side
Use your toes and kick out so the board flips. Work on your timing and flipping the board so that it levels out in the air. This will make catching it a lot easier!
Catch : Once your skateboard has spun a full rotation, use your back foot catch it and stop the rotation. This means closely watching your skateboard.
Once you catch the skateboard with your back foot, you'll want to put your front foot on the skateboard.
Land and Roll away : The timing of a kickflip can be tricky, but with enough practice you can do anything.

Pop Shuvit
What is a pop shuvit?
A trick where you ollie then spin the board 180 degrees under your feet and land back on the board
Learning a Pop Shuvit is done in 4 easy steps
Stance, Pop, Flick, Land and roll away.
Stance: You should position your left (or front) foot in the same place you'd put it if you were doing an ollie. Your left (or back) foot should be in the toe side pocket of the tail
Pop: Pop down on the back of the board like you would if you were doing a normal ollie. Snap as hard as you can, YOU NEED TO GET HIGH!
Flick: As you are going up on your ollie, flick your back foot to the left if you are regular or to the right if you are goofy stance. You should push the board not to hard, but just remember to always stay above the board.
Land and Roll away: When the board is spinning under you, when it has done 180 degrees, attempt to catch the board, with both of your feet landing on the truck bolts.
Tips: First try these tricks on grass or something you do not move around on, they can be very tricky at the start, but do not give up, you will get them eventually.
