Nyjah is on fire... Again
In the modern day of skateboarding there isn’t many competitions that professionals can enter and perform above all. Street League Skateboarding (SLS) has the best street skateboarders in the world. This all rounder competition is for every great skateboarder who wants the challenge of versing opponents at the same level as they are. SLS was founded by Rob Dyrdek in 2010 when he came up with the idea to foster growth, popularity, and acceptance of street skateboarding worldwide. The latest Street League event was held on the 17th and 18th of May, in a rusty old factory, which has been made into an amazing street course combining plaza terrain and Vert terrain in the one. This new skate park has it all, hubber’s, rails, banks and quarter pipes at either end of the course. All elements which skaters can show there best on.
Nyjah Huston killed it like he usually does and won the title of SLS 2014, followed by Ishod Wair who claimed 2nd and Paul Rodriguez who snatched 3rd. Nyjah was trailing behind Ishod for the majority of the final and then finally caught him with a Backside 360 Kickflip Lip slide, this scored him a score of 9.6. In SLS, they call any score over 9, a 9 club. On the SLS website, it shows all the 9 clubs done in all events. Nyjah's win means that he gets a pass straight into the Nike SB Super Crown World Championship where the prize money is $20,000. We wish him all the best and congratulate him on the win.
